Purples

Her pulse left her body
And beat by her cheek.
It was purples.

Untitled

F, or N, placed his right foot and then the left onto the wall. His body, stiff, extended parallel with the floor. The blood rushed to his left cheek and eye. From between pursed lips, he made the continuous noise 'aaaaaaa'.

Oyster

Passing the staircase, N dressed in the corner. The dressing was bland, non-descriptive. Overcome by fatigue, she slipped her stockings off and left them, oyster, on the floor.

F and N

Thick, clean snow was falling, but there isn't much point in describing that now. What was going on inside in the front room is more important. What you need to know is simply this:

F lay on his side on the kitchen floor, stiff as a beam, with one hand thrust towards the ceiling. He was holding a pack of stale biscuits in the most urgent manner a pack of stale biscuits could be held. He was emitting a single vowel sound from slightly parted lips: ‘ooooooooooo’. Close by, but not close enough, was N. She was running into the room where F was. N hovered a centimetre off the ground with both feet. Her arms were flung out in front of her. She was still, and made the continuous sound of ‘errrrrrrrrrrr’.
